Ouse Class Bread Baking

In the last few weeks it has been the turn of Ouse class to work on their baking skills. As would be Romans, we steered clear of stuffed dormouse and other such delicacies. We did though look at a staple of bread. The feedback was that they have all tasted good and have been eaten with many different things and inn different places. The children loved the hands-on approach; kneading and mixing being the skills that were most highly rated. The excitement at the magic power of yeast and how much some bread buns grew as they were proving was a cause of great discussion.
