Q How long have you been a teacher?
A For many years, in a variety of schools in East and North Yorkshire.
Q Which Key stage do you enjoy teaching the most?
A During the course of my career I have taught in EYFS, KS1 and lower KS2 and have enjoyed teaching in all of them but I am particularly enjoying EYFS and KS1 at the moment as every day is different and fun.
Q What are your jobs at Langton school?
A Besides teaching in class 1, I am responsible for making sure English is taught effectively and is celebrated throughout school. I am a teacher governor and I always like to run an after school club. Whenever Mrs Ray is not in school, it is my responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly in school.
Q Have you had any other job besides teaching?
A For ten years my husband and I ran a self- catering business and small hotel in Scotland.
Q What do you think makes a good teacher?

Enjoying working with and challenging children to achieve the best that they possibly can.

Being very well organised, so that lessons flow and everyone is always on task.

Making each day fun, whilst ensuring learning and progress.

Having a sense of humour.
Q What do you like to do when you are not at school?
A I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my husband, family and friends. I also enjoy walking, gardening and visiting new and interesting places.
