Langton Primary School
My name is Tracy Goodwill. I am the Cook and Caretaker and have worked here since 1999. I have grown-up twin girls, who actually came to this school back in the day! I enjoy my garden and socialising with friends.
My name is Sandra Camps and I am an Advanced Teaching Assistant at Langton. I work in Class 2 and Class 3 helping the children with their learning. I teach Phonics every morning to a small group of children which is great fun.
I am also a Midday Supervisory Assistant so I have the privilege of seeing the children outside the classroom
I enjoy going for walks in the countryside with my family and very energetic Cocker Spaniel, Barney.
My name is Samantha Conroy and I am the Office Manager here at Langton Primary School. My office is a hive of activity, and I love the fact that I am always busy and my job is different every day! I have two daughters, one who has, and one who still does, attend Langton. I never seem to have a lot of spare time (!), but I do enjoy reading and films, keeping fit and karate (I am a Black Belt 2nd Dan).
My name is Rosemary Laverack and I am the class 1 teacher, teaching EYFS, year 1 and year 2. I love teaching at Langton primary School and have been here for seven years now! I live in Normanby near Kirkbymoorside with my husband and have two grown up children that live with their partners in their own homes. When I am out of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as swimming, walking, gardening and reading.
My name is Roisín Boyle and I am very excited about joining Langton Primary School as Class 2’s teacher. I am originally from Ireland and moved to Scarborough last year after spending 2 years teaching in Abu Dhabi. I really enjoy travelling to lots of new places and reading books. Harry Potter books are my favourite!
I am delighted to have joined the team here at Langton and I am really enjoying my new role at the school. I have been teaching now for many years and I have previously taught across all ages in Key Stage Two with the majority of my experience being in Year 6. I have come from a much larger outstanding primary school where my responsibilities were behaviour and safeguarding. At Langton as well as being Class 3 teacher it is my role to lead Maths and PE.
I live in a small village on the outskirts of York with my wife and two young children. My personal life revolves around my family and I really look forward to the time we spend together. We go on camping holidays and days out whenever possible and I also have a keen interest in sport, cinema and music. I really enjoy participating in most sports although I seem to spend more time cheering for my children than playing myself now!
My name is Mrs Ray and I am very proud to be the headteacher of Langton Primary School. Our school is a very happy place to be and so I like coming to school in the morning even though I have to say goodbye to my two dogs Meg and Basil. I have two sons called George and Sebastian who are at Secondary School but they always like to hear about what we do at Langton School!
My name is Paula Jackson and I have worked at Langton for six years. I am an advanced Teaching Assistant and a Midday Supervisory Assistant. I support the teacher in class two with all areas of the children’s learning, I also teach phonics to a small group of children every morning.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially walks in the countryside with our black Labrador, Paddy.
My name is Kathryn Cummings but I tend to be called Mrs. C. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone at Langton Primary school really well. I live in York and love being outside in the countryside with my dog, I also enjoy cricket, James Bond films and reading books.
My name is Joanna Huntriss. I’m originally from Cornwall but love living in North Yorkshire with its beautiful countryside. Before becoming a teacher I was a scientist and love all things science related. It’s a pleasure to teach science at Langton and also to support Mrs Laverack as a TA in Class 1. Outside of school I enjoy playing the piano, spending time with my family and friends, going for long walks, escaping to the coast and discovering new places to visit.
My name is Emma Tetlow and I’m a T.A. in Class 1. I really enjoy helping Mrs. Laverack with the youngest children in the school; every day is different and it’s certainly never boring!
I have three teenage children who all have fond memories of their time at Langton School. We all love heading out to the lovely North Yorkshire coast at the weekend, and we keep on walking until our dog is tired out!
My name is Becky Auckland, I have worked at Langton Primary School for two and a half years, I work in all three classes in the school, which I love! I live in Pickering and enjoy keeping fit, going on holidays to sunny places and meeting up with my friends.
Our school was built in 1896 to serve the village of Langton and it's surroundings. Initially, the school comprised of what is now the school hall.Langton in the past...
